Topics covered included:

  •  The role of expert witnesses in court;
  • Obligations, duties and ethics of psychologists as expert witnesses;
  • The court process;
  • Specific points for psychologists as expert witnesses;
  • Expert report writing for psychologists as expert witnesses in legal proceedings; and
  • Psychologists giving testimony in court, and particularly cross examination

    “It was very helpful to have this presented by a lawyer to understand the requirements of a witness (clinical or expert) and for reports, as well as their role in the process.

    The training afforded good insight into the psycho/legal nexus.”
