Client Background
Department of Primary Industries – Department of Regional NSW delivers a broad range of initiatives across New South Wales including research and development into the agriculture, fisheries and forestry sectors; and regulation and administration of biosecurity, food safety, animal welfare and hunting in NSW.
NSW DPI also has a range of responsibilities to prepare, respond to and assist in recovery from animal and plant biosecurity emergencies, natural disasters and other emergencies affecting the sector, as well as international market access support and export enhancement across a range of products and industries.
The NSW DPI Compliance Investigations Unit is responsible for enforcing and monitoring compliance with all NSW biosecurity legislation and investigating potential breaches of this legislation.
