Training Details:

A medical professional based in Sydney contacted Loquitur ahead of serious criminal proceedings in which they were required to give evidence.

Although the witness had years of experience presenting professionally, giving evidence in court was very different from anything they had previously encountered. They were particularly nervous about the trial process and cross-examination.

Loquitur delivered an online lay witness familiarisation session before the hearing. The training gave the witness a clearer understanding of the court process, what to expect during cross-examination and how to respond calmly and clearly under pressure.

The session also covered practical techniques for managing difficult questions, maintaining focus and delivering evidence with confidence.

Following the training, the witness felt better prepared for the hearing and more confident about giving their own evidence.
