Training Details:

Loquitur delivered international arbitration witness familiarisation for an international law firm involved in a complex arbitration concerning an international energy and resources company.

The international arbitration witness familiarisation programme included separate sessions for lay and expert witnesses across multiple countries, time zones and languages.

Sessions were delivered in person across several major Australian capital cities using Loquitur’s network of local trainers. Separate remote sessions were also conducted for witnesses in North America and Europe.

The training required careful coordination across multiple countries, time zones and languages, with considerable time pressure to complete all sessions before the hearing.

The sessions were particularly valuable for lay witnesses who were very senior within the organisation but needed support in understanding how to give their own evidence effectively in the unfamiliar setting of an arbitration. International witnesses also benefited from gaining a clearer understanding of the process.

The sessions were successfully completed, with positive feedback from the participants and legal team.
