Expert Witness Cross Examination Training

Loquitur’s Expert Witness Cross Examination Course is designed to prepare expert witnesses for one of the most challenging aspects of their role: cross-examination.

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the cross-examination process, equipping expert witnesses with the strategies and skills needed to maintain their confidence, credibility and composure under intense questioning.

Participants will learn how to recognise and respond to common cross-examination techniques used by barristers, ensuring they can defend their expert opinions and reasoning with confidence.

Through a series of in-depth modules, the course explores the various elements of the court process and cross-examination, offering practical guidance on how to navigate these effectively. Participants will also review and analyse mock cross-examinations, allowing them to apply what they have learned in a controlled environment and receive valuable feedback.

By the end of the course, expert witnesses will be fully prepared to present their evidence in court, standing firm against unwarranted challenges while recognising when and how to concede points if this becomes necessary.  They will learn to deliver compelling testimony with poise, persuasiveness and professionalism.

Includes 9 modules, with around 3.5 hours of teaching time, plus approximately 4 hours for preparation and coursework.
